1 week 'til jersey.

in 1 week we will be making the trip to new jersey for a few days. we haven't seen flavio's sister missy and her husband nick since our wedding in september 2008! we have both had babies since then & we can't wait for them to meet.

we're climbing.

so leo has started climbing. fortunately for him there is a big trunk in front of our living room windows that he loves to climb on. see below for the adventure of the trunk climb.

it's been forever!

i think it's been 6 months since i last updated our blog! i have no idea why i forgot about it but i'm back on track now. i now have a 15 month old that runs around crazy & consumes about 98% of my time! it's a wonderful life. this week we've had an awful snow/ice storm & have been stuck in the house since sunday night. we took leo out & he was so excited to play in the snow. he took one huge faceplant in the snow & then didn't let himself fall again! it was a blast playing out in the snow with him for the first time. we were supposed to fly out to new jersey tomorrow but we had to reschedule our trip for a week later since the weather in both places is so bad. booo. i'll update again later.

first of all, i realize that the baby should probably be sitting in the regular bathtub by now, but the thing is...he freaks out if i try to put him in the big open bathtub. he likes the safety of his baby sized one. this is really the first time he's sat and enjoyed bathtime:

leo found his hands!

last night i looked over @ leo & he was PURPOSELY hitting the toys that hang from his play gym on the floor. he was grasping it in his hand and swinging it side to side, & grabbing onto everything that he could see. this sounds to be such a minor deal, but watching my baby purposely do something for the first time was amazing. he's so much fun & entertaining to watch!

i can't wait to see what he does next!

what he's been up to

we went to oklahoma for christmas. it was a nice visit, & leo got to meet his great grandparents. he got spoiled!! here are a few pictures:

leo's first christmas season

we like making video

leo has been acting very silly, smiling & cooing a lot. we're trying to take a lot of video, & certainly tons of pictures. he's actually in the other room in his swing right now "talking". :)

he had his 2 month shots yesterday, which was awful! i think he did better with it than i did. my mom always told me 'wait until it's YOUR child going through pain & then you'll know how i feel' & now i know. it's definitely not a fun experience!

we're really excited because in just under a week we'll be going on our first family trip with leo. we're DRIVING all the way from georgia to oklahoma. it's a 14 hour drive, & we're going to attempt to do it all in 1 day. we'll see how it goes! we can't wait to see grams & grumps, & we know that they can't wait to see us either!!! we're also lucky because leo will get to meet great-grandparents from both sides of the family! he'll meet my 'granny' & 'papa' from mom's side & my grandma from dad's side. it's going to be a great visit.

i'm going to keep this blog up with pictures & videos of what we're doing so that family & friends can keep track of us & leo as he grows (which is happening too fast!)
